the Kurdistan Crude Oil Pipeline

The Kurdistan Crude Oil Pipeline is a strategic crude oil export pipeline located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and owned by the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).

The pipeline is operated by an appointed pipeline operator acting on behalf of the Kurdistan Regional Government. The operator’s role is limited to the technical management of the pipeline system, including operation, routine and preventive maintenance, integrity management, and repair activities, in accordance with applicable agreements and international industry practices. The pipeline system provides a critical transportation link for crude oil produced in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to international markets via connection with the Iraq–Turkey pipeline system. The total pipeline length is approximately 426 km, with a designed capacity of up to 962 000 barrels per day. The operator manages day-to-day technical activities through its head office in Erbil and field locations along the pipeline route, employing qualified personnel to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the system. Operator has over 550 employees in its head office in Erbil and at various field locations across Iraq.
